Dear Imagine Families,

This week students focused on the impact that tone and mood has a on text. In writing, students focused on paraphrasing verses quoting and properly citing a source.

Next week, students will learn about the different types of figurative language and the impact that figurative language has on a text. In social studies, students will continue to learn about the Westward Expansion.

There will be a vocabulary quiz next Friday on chapters 1-5. For a complete list of vocabulary words, please visit: https://mrsmartinsclassweb.wordpress.com/vocabulary/
